The Lebron Six Experience was perhaps one of the most ambitious exhibitions set in Nike China’s 706 Space. Along with a full-size, functional basketball court complete with bleacher seating, changing rooms and a VIP section, Nike also requested that a flexible exhibition area be built as well. Since the basketball court and seating already occupied the entire floor space within 706, the exhibition area displaying Lebron James' signature basketball techniques needed to be able to be moved out of the way during basketball matches.

Our solution for this was to hang six, 3.4m telescopic chandeliers from the ceiling that could be opened at the flick of a switch to drop down 3-D, holographic projections of Issac Perry explaining Lebron James’ six core basketball moves. Once the explanations ended, the chandeliers could then be retracted back into the ceiling so that the moves Perry illustrated could be practised on the court.

In the whimsical spirit of the outdoor sculptural artwork found throughout the 798 Art District, we also created a 6m fiberglass caricature of Lebron to dominate the entrance of Nike 706.
