For this conservation project, we worked to refurbish and upgrade a 1918 French villa in Shanghai’s historic French Concession into a 5-star boutique hotel for the Shanghai Dong Hu Group. By diving into its rich past – via interviews with former owners and painstaking research on its previous inhabitants (one of which was Jiang Qing,
Chairman Mao’s wife) - we restored the house to its former glory.
