This concept project was an investigation into a new type of housing typology which could maximise the living environment in terms of different combinations of textures, colours and materialities while being contained within a totally minimalist, clutter free space.

Several large, floor-to-ceiling panels of varied widths were rendered in blackboard paint. These panels created the entire length of our new Mega Wall. The panels acted as sliding doors behind which we compressed individual room functions (bedroom, living room, kitchen bathroom, etc.) into a 1m wide zone. Each zone is rendered with a different quality in terms of visual language, styles and materialities to evoke a range of domestic associations and ambiences. The owner, through opening and closing the Mega Wall panels, can adapt his/her living environment to form an endless combination of living environments.
