INTRODUCTION

A sculptural representation in the landscape that reflects at any one given time, both the business of the relative Nike CBD's in China in terms of product demand, and a daily numerical calculation of product flow through Nike's largest logistic centre on the globe. Radiating from a central water feature that represents all 50 cities and 81 CBD's a series of trajectories or paths link their way through the landscape like a giant motherboard, terminating at enormous 8m high totem counters (one for each CBD), which reflect consumption demand of the CBD. Along these paths are shaded seating areas, a small panna court and basketball half courts for workers interaction and play. Between these poured concrete links a tapestry of vegetation of various textures, green shades, densities and heights creates a series of orthogonal garden beds.

Dominating the centre of the site is a large mirrored bridge that links the two halves of the logistic centre. It is through this bridge a 4 lane conveyor belt moves product from one warehouse to the other. Placed on these belts are sensors that count the product flow that is then transmitted to an enormous LED graphic that is applied to the face of bridge. Real time information in the Logistic Centre through digital connectivity is relayed to the visitor as an enormous LEEDS certificated analogue sculptural garden.
