To combine outdoor basketball with a true park and garden environment through a traditional cultural filter.

The park concept is a combination of a contemporary skateboard park with a Chinese 'walled garden.' Both concepts share the same principle of being built, not planted, by digging pools and piling mountains. The pavilions within, define the landscape, control the views and determine how we move and circulate through the park. They also serve the athletes as elevated half courts and shaded lounge areas.
