Faced with the prospect of designing a gastro lounge in the saturated bar environment of Shanghai, as well as, for an easily recognisable brand as Grey Goose- the question was- in what direction should this project take?

The answer- it will NOT be blue!

Instead, taking two of the brand attributes, the solution was to create an architectural interpretation, albeit with an idiosyncratic twist, the two main ingredients; wheat and water. The spatial construct that resulted, both defined the space, organised its planning, but also provided a textured and tactile, natural environment.

The fold wheat forms formed a playful and layered space, which contrasted against the watery fluid and kinetic structure, that pulsates above the bar.
