The library is a renovation project. Original architecture style takes its roots deep down in the tradition of Suzhou gardens. At the same time, MQ studio worked all along the design process, to integrate the exclusive functions of a 5 star hotel, yet without loosing the spatial character of Suzhou gardens. Reality contrasts with illusion, natural light plays with artificial light and complement each other, while landscapes are fully exploited to create a new atmosphere inside out.

Through the research of local Chinese DNA, we generate a new architectural language throughout the overall interior decoration of the building, thus creating a true contemporary Chinese design and making it a highly exclusive project.
