Taking inspiration from the clothing range for XI which predominantly consisted of natural fabrics and textures using an earthly colour tone palette, a brand and visual identity concept was developed that both complimented the XI garments while at the same time paying homage to the oldest form of fabric known to humankind. Using primarily natural wool felt from Xinjiang, a new 'collection' was created as a series of surfaces that were either painted to act as 'backdrops' to accentuate the clothes or could double up as a logo mark or projection surface. This collection was further added to, through the development of custom made furniture pieces using traditional Chinese weaving techniques, giving the overall composition of clothes and store a slightly artisanal quality.
